Executive Director’s Message
Silver Star Tower is the pioneer building of Airport City Accra and is constantly being chosen to be the ideal location for businesses because of its prime location; situated at the intersection of the Liberation and Afgo Roads, and its proximity to the Kotoka International Airport and African continental Free Trade Secretariat.
Airport City was chosen as the location for the Tower because we had the vision that Airport City was going to be the centre of the modern skyline of the Accra. As envisioned, Silver Star Tower has grown to be the oldest building and an iconic trademark in the Airport City Accra. This outstanding achievement has not stopped us from improving. Silver Star Tower and Airport City Accra are uniquely positioned to cater for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) secretariat and investors.
All through these 15 years of our existence, the Tower has had almost 100% occupancy rate. Our customer service is unmatched, and our corporate image is excellent. Feedback from our diverse Clientele ranging from banking, Energy, automobile and airline companies have generally been positive.
The iconic and aesthetically designed Tower is a highly recommended office space due to unparalleled maintenance culture. Silver Star Tower has a reputation for meeting international standard especially with our 48-hour time span of completing maintenance requests. Our generators which are regularly serviced stabilize all power supply challenges.
The construction of Silver Star Tower started in the year 2002 and was completed in November 2005. It became fully habitable in May 2006 with Ecobank being the first tenant. November 2020 is 15 years since the building and company come into existence. Silver Star Tower I is 800 square metres, and we have a plan to build Tower II which would be about 25000 square metres underground parking for 350 cars, and 12000 square metres for offices space.
As part of our 15th year anniversary celebration, we have upgraded and renovated our corporate tower with a budget of approximately three (3) million Cedis. This included the entrance lobby, alucobond facia, air conditioning, lifts, LED lighting another other. We are also replacing the tiles with FIRE RATED ALUMINUM COMPOSITE PANELS.
Though we are in difficult times of Covid-19 and would economic recession, we are confident that in the next 15 years, Silver Star Tower will continue to improve and maintain its position as the major icon on the Airport City skyline.
